Meadow Montessori has been located in rural Monroe, MI since it first opened its doors to students in 1984. Founded by two mother-slash-educators who shared a passion for the Montessori style of learning and noticed a lack of alternative education options in their hometown, MMS is proud to be a part of the local Monroe community.

Since its first establishment, Meadow Montessori has been a non-profit organization managed by a volunteer and elected Board of Trustees.

Guild
All parents are a part of the Parent Guild, which meets monthly to plan and organize community-building activities for MMS families and fundraise for these events.
The Room Parent for each classroom is an important volunteer role, who may help new families with any questions they may have and assist with classroom communications.
